Character Profiles

These profiles will be updated as the story goes on. I am currently working on redoing all of the images, so if some of them look old, there is a reason for it. -Rayne

Xavier Keyes

Age: 16
Personality:

Xavier is a light-hearted and optimistic individual; he sees the silver lining in most situations, and usually has a quip ready for any situation. He is also very protective of those he considers friends and family. Xavier's also a bit of a geek, whose idea of a good time is a sci-fi DVD and a large pizza.

Background:

Xavier was orphaned at the age of nine, and has been living with his step-brother Christopher since then. Although his parents had set-up a trust in their childrens' interest, Christopher still had to drop out of college to support his younger step-brother. This created a guilt complex in Xavier, which made it hard for him to connect with others.

Xavier's only other family is his cousin Kevin, but circumstances, as well as the boys' opposing personalities, prevent them from becoming close.

Hope Wallace

Age: 16
Personality:

Hope is the personification of responsibility and reliability. Her sense of honor and fair-play are without question. As a result of showing such mature traits at a young age, she's alienated from her peers; however, you'd never hear her admit that this bothers her. She is slow to show emotion to others, and can come off at cold at times.

Background:

Hope was adopted by Frederick Wallace as a toddler, and was quickly immersed in his profession: that of an athletic kendo instructor. Fascinated by the history of the sport, Hope admired the ancient system of honor and duty that eventually lead her to the code of the Japanese Samurai. Modeling her life after these ideals, she also became a kendo expert, surpassing even her father.

Hope doesn't know it, but she has a biological twin sister...

Faith Thompson

Age: 16
Personality:

Few are fortunate enough to meet someone as genuinely nice and trusting as Faith. Having total confidence in the innate goodness of humanity, Faith's generous and trusting nature can boarder on naievete, but she's been fortunate enough to have not had experience with the darker side of human nature.

Background:

Faith's mother worked in a volatile public relations firm, so she moved at lot as a child. Although her sunny nature made her many friends, she was never able to keep them as she moved across the country. Recently, Faith learned from her mother that she was adopted. Then, tragedy struck.

Kevin Richardson

Age: 17
Personality:

Kevin is jaded, cynical and unrefined, and also afflicted with a fiery temper. Although clever, he usually acts before thinking, which only leads him into trouble. Kevin can be counted on to be forthright and honest in all situations, although he may end up telling you what you don't want to hear.

Background:

Kevin's mother died of breast cancer seven years ago, and the loss profoundly affected both Kevin and his father. His father turned to drinking, and his mood swings caused him to both verbally berate his son and conversely ignore him. With this type of upbringing, Kevin grew up with little reason to trust the world.

Kevin is aware of his cousin Xavier, but considers the boy a goody-two shoes, and has little desire to associate with him.

Terumi Isato

Age: 13
Personality:

A shy girl, Terumi has an innate knowledge of the mechanical and electrical, as well as a pronounced interest in the occult. She's been a wallflower most of her life, and is at the defining age of her life that will determine the type of person she will become. Whether or not the events of this summer will change her for better or worse remain to be seen. Background: Both of Terumi's parents are successful physicians, so the only want she's ever known is that of parental attention. Resisting her parents' attempts to transform her into a “proper young lady”, she continues to gain their disapproval of her unique set of interests.

Elizabeth Simone

Age: 17
Personality:

Elizabeth is kind, loving, brave, and confident. She's a bit of a dreamer, but has a large heart and enough of a level head to be successful in whatever she wants to achieve. She's also, by design, very good at thinking on her feet, and very independent.

Background:

The daughter of a fairly popular actress, Elizabeth has wanted nothing more than to follow in her mother's footsteps, and gain acclaim and success of her own. She's taken acting and dance classes all her life, and is trying her hardest to get a legitimate role beyond the few odd commercials she's done.

Cathrine Jameson

Age: 15
Personality:

Cathrine is a bitter, angry young woman with a general hatred for humanity in general, and authority figures in particular. Her rage and viciousness know no bounds.

Background:

Unknown.

Ryo Connors

Age: 17
Personality:

Ryo's smooth talking and calm demeanor belie the greed and sadism in his heart; he constantly seeks material comfort, and has no problem stealing to get it. Although constantly seeking the attention of young women, he hides a misogynistic streak. He also hates Kevin Richardson, as well as any others who try to curb his behavior.

Background:

Ryo grew up on the same streets as Kevin, and the two quickly grew to hate each other. Three months ago, while running from the police, Ryo disappeared completely. Beyond that, nothing more of his background is known.
